Founded in 2005, Near your Ear.com is a site devoted to bringing
standard reading and information to audio.
All of our audio is free to download and is perfect for those learning
English as a second language. Students can read along as they
listen to a variety of topics including profiles of people and cities,
quotes.
We also feature the Fluent Linking Of Words (FLOW) system.
FLOW is a communication curriculum developed by experts in the
EFL industry. FLOW helps students to recognize and reproduce
native sounding English through liaisons, gliding, reduced sounds
and intonation. FLOW does this while taking into account the
phonetic limits of the Japanese language. FLOW is taught within a
grammatical structure that allows students to better retain and
reproduce phonetic patterns.
Near your Ear.com will also soon be showcasing radio theater and
fairy tales. Great for the kiddies.
